Explore relationships between textiles and nature as you experience the MSU Museum’s Science on a Sphere. Discover textiles from the MSU Museum collection and learn about fibers from the natural world. In a darkened museum gallery, projectors will illuminate data onto a giant globe as textiles tell global stories connecting art, culture, and nature.

Science On a Sphere was developed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the system uses datasets from NOAA, NASA, universities, science centers and other organizations to explain complex processes along with maps of real-time data visualized onto a globe.
