In 2016, Michigan State University continued to set a standard of sustainability excellence for universities everywhere. Building on the elimination of coal at the T.B. Simon Power Plant, we invested in student research, forged cross-disciplinary partnerships, tackled building efficiency, repurposed our campus greenery and more—because for Spartans, green is much more than a school color, it's a mentality that pushes us all to envision a healthier, more sustainable future.
