Red Cedar River Cleanup Fall 2026

Join us in protecting one of Michigan State University’s most iconic natural features — the Red Cedar River — during our Red Cedar River Cleanup!  This event empowers Spartans to take action and make a visible impact on our campus and community environment. 

Volunteers will work together to remove litter and debris along the riverbank, helping to preserve the health of the ecosystem, support local wildlife, and improve the beauty of our shared environment. Landscape Services staff and additional volunteers will be stationed throughout to assist participants and provide guidance. 

All are welcome to attend and participate. Plant materials, tools, and safety equipment will be provided. 

These cleanups showcase our shared commitment to sustainability, recycling, and keeping campus Spartan Green.
